As I'd disappeared for a while, I got a lOT of questions through all sorts of various posts that I haven't yet got round to answering. So, for those of you thinking of shooting me a question - have a wee look here first! :D
Q. Is your Bloomsbury book out yet?
A. Believe it or not - the wiki article is inaccurate in this one :o! (who woulda thunk it? ;p ) No it is not out yet, and it remains (don't kill me) a work in progress
Q. WHY isn't it out yet? What's taking so long?
A. I faced some difficult turbulent times during the past 2 years that have left me almost unable to produce stories. But I'm back now and everything is bACk in motion with a vengeance - so, watch this space! :>!
Q. Have you got anything published?
A. My first EVER publication was after winning a placement in a comics course run by Hi8us Midlands Ltd - the outcome of which was to get 2 pages of comic printed in a joint comic with the rest of the participants within the scheme ( :D!) ; after that, my 50-pager story "JinNarration" debuted in the first Mammoth book of New Manga edited by Ilya.
Q. What're you working on at the moment?
I have three main projects in the works - the first being the completion of my graphic novel for Bloomsbury; the second is a series of comics I'd been creating for the Muslim Youth Foundation which was set to be distributed to UK schools as part of the PSHE/RE curriculum (but which now is getting published into its own book - yey!) and last but not least, creating a graphic novel out of the new play "Looking for Yoghurt" in partnership with the Birmingham repertory Theater! so, a full plate for now :) (oh aye - and creating the Oxford Isoc mascots! :D )
Q. Would you up for considering a project partnership?
My instinct is to say: Sure! Speak to me and we'll see what we can do! :>! However, I have to be more realistic and answer: it depends on the time and schedule. Currently, I'm full up. But in a couple months time - who knows? :) I'll at least give you tips and feedback if I can't join you
